Dang Hao, born in June 1998, is a student of the School of Energy and Environmental Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing, grade 2016, majoring in Energy and Power Engineering. He has been recommended for admission to the Department of Engineering Thermal Physics, School of Astronautics and Aeronautics, Tsinghua University.

During his course study, his weighted score was 94.63, placing him second among 140 students. More than 72% of his courses have scores above 90, and many have scores above 96. He has won many scholarships, such as the National Scholarship, National Encouragement Scholarship, 86 Alumni Scholarship, and People's Scholarship. During his study, he often talked with classmates and teachers about problems. This process enabled him to have a deeper understanding of various subjects, and at the same time, he also found the beauty of rigorous science and engineering. In the group project, he would try his best to seize every opportunity to be the group leader. After many times of training, he gradually became proficient.

Besides study, he has participated in many activities and practices. For this reason, he has won many honors and awards, including five times at the national level, three times at the provincial and municipal levels, and 16 times at the university level. For example, a special prize of the National College Students' Social Practice and Science and Technology Competition on Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction, second prize of the Capital Challenge Cup Extracurricular Science and Technology Works Competition, second prize of the National College Students' Mathematics Competition, and third prize of the National College Students' Physics Competition, etc.

In the science and technology competition, under the careful guidance of the teachers, he and his teammates spent one year to complete the "Waste frying-pan, a device for frying and drying kitchen waste to produce solid fuel". They encourage and tolerate each other throughout the whole process. As a result of their unremitting efforts and multiple rounds of assessment by the expert group, their work stood out from the 4000 works (including all the works submitted in the early stage) and won the special prize of the 12th National College Students Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Competition. Their work has also been patented and has been reported and reproduced by many newspapers, websites, and media. He also gained a group of like-minded friends in this competition.

During the three years, he took part in many school activities, such as the 65th-anniversary group gymnastics performance, sports meeting, entrepreneurship seminar, youth science and technology culture festival, and so on. In addition, he also insisted on participating in early rising, vocabulary, reading, and urging classmates with goals and positive energy to each other.

Due to his outstanding comprehensive performance, he has also won many personal honors, including three times Outstanding Merit Student of USTB, three times the leader of Model Dormitory, Outstanding Publicity Ambassador of Financial Aid Policy, etc.

He said he moved from a remote junior high school in a fourth-tier city to a key senior high school in that city, and then to the University of Science and Technology Beijing. He is planning to go to Tsinghua University in the future and he hopes that every day in the future, he will not give up speaking out of turn!
